Try to reimagine an artwork using things you have at home. Then take a photo if you can. If not, just have fun experimenting.

hi everyone it's Miss Gallagher here I just want to tell you a project that I would like to suggest to you to try you have to choose an artwork that you like but you don't have to but I want you to play think about some artwork you like and then try to recreate it using stuff you have around your home okay so I to chose an artist that I like his name is Rene Magritte he was from Belgium and he made a living doing advertising art and he also design wallpaper and he just paintings to in the evenings or when he has free time so the painting I was going for is called the Spider-Man all right this is it a picture of it is a photocopy and this is a copy of when I tried to recreate using what I had at home all right so I'll tell you how I did that I knew I had a green apple in the house so we often don't have green apples but I thought hey that's a good idea I can use this and my daughter came up the idea of using tape to hold in front of my face and my son . call my daughter film then I borrowed this coat and it's time for my husband and this is an old happy had around the house and I knew we had this old box in the basement I had a bunch of boxes and I took this and painted it on two sides to look a little like a stone wall now I don't expect you to have it all that kind of paint at the house but I just happened to so I just smeared paint on it I had blue paper so I put that blue paper up there that's for the water effect and then I had a gray-blue walls so that was kind of easy so anyways what I want you think about think of some arguing you can be from a comic book it can be from poster in your bedroom or some picture you have in your home or you can look on the internet but with your parents help though ask for permission okay if you're looking for here in a few artists that some of you are familiar with already so I thought I'd just throw these ideas out for you Frida Kahlo Diego Rivera Keith Haring Georgia O'Keeffe and Pablo Picasso so just use what you have maybe you could recreate a picture with two people use it as posing as to recreate a picture somebody in your family can help you out use your imagination and just have fun okay I hope you're doing well and if you have time send me your picture in an email to Al Gallagher at cps.edu bye-bye
